Acquisition of HealthASPex business
Expands Growth Opportunity
Baltimore,
MD - November 6, 2007 - Tēla
Sourcing, Inc. a leading BPO service provider foused exclusively
on health payers, announced it has purchased HealthASPex through
an asset sale. HealthASPex provides onshore mailroom, scanning,
EDI and PPO routing services to Third Party Administrators
(TPAs) and Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs).

seeking to expand our onshore front-end services – what
better way than through a proven relationship?” asks

provided Tēla with onshore local mailroom and scanning
functions for some time and we have been very impressed with
the quality and service provided by HealthASPex.”
Tēla has been growing
steadily since 2003, with multiple onshore partners for mailroom
and scanning operations. HAX presented an opportunity to also
provide onshore front-end claims services. “We wanted
to offer a one-stop onshore and offshore solution that handled
mailroom, EDI, scanning and OCR – plus all-important
PPO routing.” explains Sharma.

Sharma points out that
the acquisition will enhance current Tēla functions and
adds some key strategic benefits. Tēla continues local
partnering strategies stressing quality, economy and local
presence. Also Tēla gains another highly efficient OCR
engine and the associated source code. The deal also allows
Tēla to enhance its PPO routing capability, furthering
its competitive stance.
In addition to the
front-end offerings, Tēla offers comprehensive BPO solutions
including adjudication, enrollment, business rule configuration,
dashboard capabilities, Image Storage and Workflow solutions
that support Clients claims administration capabilities and
help them increase efficiency and reduce cost.
